Neil Barrett is a British cinematographer who has worked on over 150 documentary films in 60 countries for Netflix, HBO, National Geographic, BBC, PBS, Discovery, Hulu, The History Channel, NBC, ABC and CNN.
Neil’s work has been nominated for an Oscar and has won 3 Emmys, a Columbia Dupont and an Edward R. Murrow award. His feature documentaries have been shown at the Sundance, Tribeca, Toronto, and Telluride films festivals
Neil has an MA in Classics from St Andrew’s University, a graduate certificate in AI Design from MIT, and has completed graduate work in Visual Anthropology at USC.
Neil lives in Washington, DC and is now designing software and strategies to help the documentary industry thrive in the emerging age of AI.
